When disassembled (perhaps because a young person tried to improperly release the hose), the hose connector for the Miele electro plus powerhead looks like this:

enter image description here

That silver ring fits in a groove at the top of the lower section, and then "pops" into a matching groove in the upper section. Once connected, how would one release these two pieces again (if, hypothetically, one was trying to figure out how things went back together and managed to clip it in backwards)?

  • Usually there is a release tab/button or push in and maybe turn to lock. The manual should have the instructions to do it right. – crip659 Jul 04 '23 at 18:56
  • It's not addressed in the "operating instructions manual". I'm not sure this part is expected to separate like this in normal use. – larsks Jul 04 '23 at 18:59
  • there is not enough information in your post for answering the question ... take it to a repair center – jsotola Jul 04 '23 at 19:56
  • @jsotola what additional information would you like? I'm happy to provide more. I understand if you're not familiar with the Miele powerhead, but perhaps somebody else is. Repair centers are closed today in any case, and it's always nice to learn how to repair our own devices. – larsks Jul 04 '23 at 19:58
