We have some water damage to a wall in our flat. It’s an external wall. The flat is on the lower ground floor / garden level of an old stucco fronted building in London, probably from the 1800s. The walls are extremely thick but on the outside they meet a patio directly and there’s not much drainage if it rains heavily.

The paint was bubbling in parts and has now started to crumble. I’m worried about being exposed to any possible asbestos or anything else of concern inside the walls. Thoughts?

I’m voting to close this question because nobody, but _nobody_ can tell if it's asbestos just by looking at it. The only way to know for sure is to get it tested. Also, unless you've been actively ripping it to shreds and breathing deeply the resulting dust cloud, you're most likely just fine. – FreeMan Nov 27 '23 at 19:20
